Data Engineer II
Overview:
The GBSC Automation & Engineering team consists of innovative professionals with deep technical expertise and strong business acumen. We play a crucial role in managing and enhancing GBSC-owned applications, providing technical support, and delivering custom solutions to drive key initiatives. The group acts as an idea incubator, supporting the Share Services Organization initiatives by providing innovative and disruptive solutions to automate processes.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Support Automation & Analytics projects and initiatives within GBSC.• Develop, test, and deploy Alteryx workflows to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.• Manage and optimize Alteryx infrastructure components, including Designer installations, Server setup, and Gallery configuration.• Monitor and support scheduled workflows and jobs on Alteryx Server, ensuring smooth execution and timely issue resolution.• Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical workflows.• Troubleshoot workflow SQL performance and errors, ensuring optimal processing speed and resource utilization.• Collaborate on infrastructure tasks such as testing system connectivity, upgrading applications/systems, and related infrastructure activities.• Implement and enforce best practices for data security, governance, and compliance within Alteryx workflows and infrastructure.• Drive continuous improvements to enhance infrastructure resilience and operational efficiency.• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing, system capacity planning, and performance monitoring to ensure robust infrastructure operations.
All About You:• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).• Proven experience (4+ years) developing Alteryx workflows and managing Alteryx infrastructure.• Experience in infrastructure and systems administration.• Knowledge of Alteryx and reporting/analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
