About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Engineer I to join the Data Center Business Analytics team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to their success.

The candidate we seek is a forward thinking professional with solid reporting and data management experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background on data center financial operations, cost drivers, and capacity planning. Although this role is primarily focused on ensuring our data center portfolio is managed efficiently, we’re also looking for someone who  has an intermediate-level understanding of engineering and hardware concepts, such as asset control and management, including RMA, warranty, and sparing reporting.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Subject matter expert in data center financial operations including cost drivers, pertinent technology, vendors, customers served, and regional nuances.

  • Establish annual/monthly performance targets, analyze budget-to-actual variance, and communicate key messages to leadership.

  • Experience working with data warehousing and data modeling.

  • Identify and lead cost savings initiatives.

  • Support the month-end financial close reporting for data center engineering.

  • Develop and refine complex driver-based financial models leveraging KPIs.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions. 

  • Pinpoint defects or waste in processes, and drive new processes and automation to eliminate the defects and prevent them from recurring.

  • Lead implementation of improvements to existing business models and operations.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Math, and Computer Science).

  • Minimum 5 years of finance/business analysis experience

  • Solid business judgment and acumen.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, and partner cross-functionally.

  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.

  • Strong excel modeling and powerpoint skills.

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $90,000 - $125,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
