Data Analytics Lead

Job Summary

The Data Analytics Team Lead will manage a team of analysts and coordinate with our managed services provider (MSP) to deliver high-quality data analytics and business intelligence solutions. This role owns the analytics roadmap, ensures alignment with business needs, and will drive the adoption of new BI tools, including a future migration from Sigma to Power BI and Tableau. The Team Lead will work hands-on with our modern data stack (Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Sigma, Hightouch, Jira) and ensure our partners receive actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Team & Project Management

• Assign and track daily tasks, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of analytics projects.

• Oversee the execution of analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.

• Conduct code reviews and provide direct feedback to team members.

MSP Oversight

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the managed services provider (MSP) supporting data and BI functions.

• Set clear expectations, KPIs, and SLAs for MSP performance; coordinate regular check-ins and reviews.

• Ensure MSP delivers actionable data insights and analytics to internal business partners.

• Manage onboarding/offboarding of MSP resources, including access to systems (e.g., Snowflake, Sigma, Jira).

Analytics Roadmap & BI Strategy

• Own and maintain the analytics and BI roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact.

• Lead the planning and execution of the migration from Sigma dashboards to Power BI and Tableau.

• Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements, align analytics strategy, and ensure solutions meet evolving needs.

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Work hands-on with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Sigma, Hightouch, and Jira to deliver analytics solutions.

• Develop and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines and robust data models.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all analytics projects.

• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Meet regularly with business partners to understand their analytics needs and gather feedback.

• Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.

Education and Skill Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

· 4+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles.

· 2+ years of experience managing or leading analytics teams or projects.

· Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Sigma, Hightouch, Jira, and (ideally) Power BI/Tableau.

· Strong SQL and Python (or R) skills.

· Experience working with or managing MSPs or external vendors.

· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

· Experience in eCommerce or retail industries is a plus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements

This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
• Light to moderate lifting is required.
• Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
• Ability to work in a confined area.
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
