About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support Simpluris’ data operations. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and cleaning client data before uploading it into our internal systems and performing calculations in accordance with business rules. You will apply your technical expertise to ensure data quality and accuracy, process information efficiently, and raise any issues to project managers for resolution with our clients.

Day to Day:

  • Understand case requirements from the business and conduct analysis that supports business activities.
  • Present data-related issues to project managers for resolution with clients.
  • Participate in weekly meetings and daily stand-ups to coordinate on outstanding requests.
  • Read requests from the business with requirements provided by a project manager, conduct the analysis needed to support business activities, and upload processed data into line-of-business applications.
  • Interface with internal/external staff and clients, directly resolving issues with data (30%).
  • Analyze and clean client data (30%).
  • Deal with various forms and sources of data utilizing tools including Microsoft Excel(Lookups, Pivot Tables, Complex and Nested Logic, Date Math, String Manipulation), Python(Pandas), SQL (30%).
  • Assess current processes and make necessary improvements (10%).

What you bring to the table:

  • Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or other related fields.
  • Experience with Excel, Python and SQL; familiar with handling data in a variety of formats including Excel files and SQL databases.
  • Ability to think critically about business processes and case requirements and understand how data can be effectively utilized.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical members of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and apply independent judgment and reasoning
  • Proactive and well-organized, able to multi-task and work under stressful conditions while maintaining high standards of accuracy
  • Strong mathematical and business acumen combined with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
