Job Summary
Summary:Oversees the cyclotron to ensure reliable production and operations, facilitating and conducting repairs and other engineering responsibilities for the cyclotron.

Essential Functions:
-Diagnose cyclotron issues and conduct and facilitate repairs and preventative maintenance, in conjunction with vendor as needed.
-Work with cyclotron subsystems, such as high-voltage systems, vacuum systems, and liquid and gas transport system.
- Perform all routine maintenance, calibration, and repair tasks for the cyclotron, the supporting electromechanical systems, target systems, and the software.
- Maintain a balance of in-house spare parts and vendor supplied components to maximize the uptime available of all equipment.
- Assist production staff and researchers in promptly troubleshooting cyclotron operation and targetry problems as they arise.
- Assist production staff and researchers in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated radiosynthesizers.
-Contribute to standard operating procedures for all cyclotron processes.
-Collaborate with researchers and support cyclotron-related research projects.
-Track, analyze and report out on cyclotron data.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of use of tools, multi meters, and soldering.
- Working knowledge of cyclotron operations.
- Working knowledge of radiation safety pertaining to high radiation areas.
- Proficient in use of required tools and measurement devices for operating and working on cyclotron.
- Good attention to detail.
- Solid organizational skills.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate degree, technical certification, or relevant trade school background preferred or
- Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering with hands on experience

- Proven hands-on experience working with mechanical and/or electrical systems in a technical, trade, or engineering environment required
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using a variety of hand and power tools required
- Experience with cyclotron operations and engineering 0-2 years preferred
