Job Summary:
Caterpillar's Cybersecurity Advisory team is seeking an individual to help lead the strategy and direction of custom applications supported with the Cybersecurity Engineering division. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter capable of thinking with an enterprise perspective and passion for user experience. The incumbent will primarily support our custom tool, Cyberscope, while also providing support for other PowerApp and ServiceNow related development opportunities. Incumbent is also responsible with assisting, coaching and mentoring other developers with design, development and architectural issues, assisting developers with their build pipelines, and evaluating and recommending development techniques, technologies and tooling to support various development projects within Cybersecurity Advisory and other Engineering peer teams.

- Assist and coach junior developers on the team in day-to-day work
- Create, plan, schedule development user stories and features for supported products
- Perform testing during development processes and QA prior to production deployment.
What You Have:
- Ability to work well with a geographically distributed team
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them with an enterprise perspective
- Ability to act in a self-directed manner, independently researching tools/libraries/technologies/techniques or solving a problems with minimal oversight and instructions
- Excellent communication skills (in English) to persuade others to follow recommended practices and technologies
- Some experience with Python development in one of the following areas - data science, web development, desktop development, automation, integration, or serverless computing
- Expert in Python
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with one or more common development tools - PyCharm, Visual Studio Code, Spyder, Jupyter Notebook, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Notepad++, etc.
- Experience developing using cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of database systems, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience using Git
