The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Cyber Transport Network Engineer supporting the SABRE program at Hanscom AFB, MA. This position is on a future contract pending award announcement.

As a Cyber Transport Network Engineer, you will design, deploy, and maintain high-performance networks for SABRE, ensuring that the USAF mission partners can securely communicate across domains. Responsibilities Include: 

  • Perform, coordinate, integrate, and supervise network design, configuration, operation, defense, restoration, and improvements

  • Analyze network capabilities and performance, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions

  • Fabricate, terminate, and interconnect network infrastructure devices

  • Implement and manage network operations

  • Ensure compliance with SABRE SOM installation specifications for all equipment and components

  • Review and maintain operational measurement reports, analyzing network utilization and identifying optimization opportunities

  • Apply Communications Security (COMSEC) program requirements

  • Collaborate with engineering and security teams to enhance network resilience and defense mechanisms

  • Utilize technical expertise in communications security, technical safety, and secure data transmission to ensure mission-critical network integrity

Clearance Required:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • BS and 6 or more years’ experience in deployment, sustainment, troubleshooting, and repair network infrastructure systems. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Strong knowledge of network design, configuration, operation, defense, restoration, and improvements in both fixed and deployed environments

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose network performance issues and implement corrective actions

  • Familiarity with DoD network security best practices and Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+)

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security

  • JNCIA-Junos or Fortinet NSE 4+ Certification

  • COMPTIA Network+ and Security+

  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs, DoD STIG compliance, and USAF network security protocols

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
