As a Cyber Security Engineer Intern with the Information Security Team, you will work with individuals across the organization to help advance IEX's security posture. This is a cross-functional opportunity where you will be able to leverage your security knowledge, software, and/or engineering skills to help IEX set new standards and raise the bar for performance, fairness, and transparency.
As an intern for Summer 2026, you will help us build or bolster solutions that are required to protect or monitor the enterprise.
About You:

- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- You are passionate about information security
- Have knowledge of technology and security topics including operating systems, network security, protocols, application security, infrastructure hardening and security baselines
- You are not afraid to ask questions and independently research solutions to find the answers and apply them to your work

- Help IEX Information Security implement security tooling enhancements

- Learn more about how security works in a Financial Services enterprise
Your Background:
- Undergraduate working towards a degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree with less than two years until graduation
- Experience scripting or coding (e.g., Python, PowerShell, using API’s, etc.)
- Experience with endpoint/network hardening or logging
- Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR and/or DLP technologies
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay is $30.00/hour for this NY-based position. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The annual base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for bonus and equity.
