A Cvent System Administrator serves as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, optimizing Cvent configurations to drive efficiency and achieve business objectives. They configure, maintain, and support Cvent while providing strategic consulting and best-practice recommendations — but do not manage logistics, source venues, or build event websites. This individual must be US-based and will provide support to multiple clients globally, working both independently and collaboratively across internal teams.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Consulting & Optimization
- Serve as Cvent SME; recommend optimal configurations to meet client goals
- Develop and maintain Cvent technology strategy
- Identify workflow efficiencies and best practices
- Consult on and implement change requests within agreed timeframes
- Assess and communicate impacts of new Cvent releases
System Configuration & Maintenance
- Configure Cvent modules for new implementations and ongoing optimization
- Manage system configuration: meeting request forms, libraries/data, workflows, roles/security, user licenses
- Diagram process requirements into configuration/workflow specs
Client Support & Communication
- Ensure goals, objectives, and SLAs are met
- Conduct new user and refresher training; maintain training materials
- Translate technical concepts for varied audiences
- Partner with Cvent on best practices for new implementations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support internal teams needing meetings technology expertise
- Represent client needs across the organization; present as internal SME
- Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on Cvent admin/configuration experience required (not an end-user or planner role)
- 2–4 years in a client-facing technical/project management role
- Strong communication skills across organizational levels
- Business/technical analysis skills; able to lead teams without direct authority
- Thrives under pressure, juggling competing priorities
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Self-motivated, organized, accountable
- Remote role; travel <10%
Strongly Preferred
- Life Sciences/Pharma or Event Management experience
- Process-flow diagramming and efficiency improvement skills
- Ability to simplify complex concepts
- Bachelor's degree (Business, IT, or related) or equivalent experience
- API integration, data management, or workflow automation experience

The US national base salary range for this position is from
$55,300.00 - $102,700.00The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
