Position Summary: The Senior Associate of Performance Management will help drive client performance resulting in improved business outcomes for athenahealth Population Health clients. Accountability of other/additional Core Services offerings may be added to scope over time, with business growth.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

50% - Identify best practices and drive client performance

  • Identify and document common themes/structures/tactics across highest performing clients and create best practice definition, criteria, and measurement
  • Develop and implement performance programs to engage clients in best practices, utilizing cross functional levers (i.e. client teams, product enhancements, operations programs)
  • Monitor success of performance management programs

25% - Track & Analyze Client Performance Metrics

  • Define, track, refine client performance metrics (i.e., what is success for our clients?)
  • Partner with product and analytics teams to help operationalize measurement of success, ensure availability of data and manage cross-client analysis to monitor success against defined metrics
  • Collaborate with client teams to ensure delivery of relevant Performance metrics

25% - Strategic Projects

  • Manage design and implementation of new performance strategies and programs that will inform future product development (ex. how to increase patient enrollment in care management)
  • Offer up subject matter expertise, mentorship, leadership, and support as directed, to assist peers with training, knowledge transfer, and completion of their own project work

Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of current trends in healthcare
  • Aptitude for aligning process, projects, and people to meet business goals in cross-functional team settings
  • Demonstrated past experience in delivering team success via data-driven metrics & reporting
  • Demonstrated track record of success regardless of prior field or role

  • Travel anticipated ~10%; and may include client site visits, sales meetings, conferences, and trainings
