Supercal is a new Boston-based startup from Paul English's Boston Venture Studios -- created to revolutionize how people book and conduct business meetings.

Supercal is looking to hire our first customer success manager (CSM)! This role is full-time and is located in Boston MA US. (We work remotely from our homes but meet in person at least once a week in Seaport.)

Attributes

  1. Strong project management - SaaS experience preferred
  2. Bright/fast, can learn new tech rapidly
  3. Excellent communicator, fast, concise
  4. Extremely personable / charismatic, extrovert
  5. Super flexible - ability to shift priorities rapidly and wear multiple hats across different business functions

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage with target users (Paul will do intros) and conduct 20-30 minute Zoom onboarding calls to walk them through Supercal setup and personalization
  • Maintain a prioritized bug list and feature requests based on actual problems encountered by VIPs
  • Cross-functional project support: Work seamlessly across other BVS portfolio companies on various initiatives as needed
  • Marketing support: Assist with campaign development, content creation, user research, and go-to-market strategies for Supercal
  • Sales enablement: Support sales processes, demo preparation, prospect research, and pipeline management
  • Product feedback loop: Synthesize user insights to inform product roadmap and feature prioritization

What Makes This Role Unique: This isn't a traditional single-function role. You'll be our Swiss Army knife - jumping between customer success, marketing projects, sales support, and cross-portfolio initiatives depending on business needs. Perfect for someone who thrives in startup environments and wants broad exposure to building a company from the ground up.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
