About Lumafield:

Lumafield was founded in 2019 to upgrade manufacturing.

We are engineers with deep experience across the product development cycle, from initial ideas to shipping hardware, across industries and specializations, who became frustrated by the cost and complexity of modern manufacturing. So we decided to upgrade it.

Engineers make million-dollar decisions every day, and they need tools that give them the greatest possible insight into their products. By offering unprecedented visibility into products, as well as AI-driven tools that highlight problems and generate quantitative data, Lumafield promises to revolutionize the way complex products are created, manufactured, and used across industries. We started with industrial CT scanning, which for us was the most valuable but underutilized tool in the manufacturing toolbox, enabling us to rapidly inspect essential components non-destructively.

We rebuilt the whole system, from X-ray capture, to computer vision analysis, to web-based collaboration, to the entire business model, making the most advanced manufacturing tech more accessible to every industry. Our company, like our platform, is designed for upgrades. We’re building for greater intelligence, autonomy, and speed. For deeper vision, operational excellence, and powerful insights. And then we'll upgrade it all again.

Lumafield is headquartered in Cambridge, MA, and has an office in San Francisco, CA.

About the role:

Lumafield is seeking a Customer Solutions Delivery Program Manager to drive the successful delivery of technical solutions that combine both hardware and software to solve manufacturing and engineering challenges.

In this customer-facing role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end development and implementation of solutions that require coordination across multiple teams. These solutions may range in complexity from multi-week projects to larger programs that entail delivery of multiple solutions across a customer’s organization and/or product lines.

This role requires strong communication skills as you'll interface with executives, engineering teams, and technical staff both internally at Lumafield and across our customer base.

This role will work with the Head of Customer Success to build processes for scaling our delivery and management of complex customer engagements while maintaining the highest levels of quality and professionalism.

This role requires a proactive project team leader who works effectively in fast-paced environments, approaches complex technical challenges systematically, and demonstrates the resilience and curiosity that defines Lumafielders.

What you'll do:

  • Manage end-to-end program delivery for customer solutions that can involve hardware, software application development, and multiple system integrations
  • Collaborate with customers to define scope, requirements, and priorities, with a lens of driving value for their business
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define requirements and execute on them
  • Own scope and timelines for individual projects and broader programs by developing project plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and communicating early and often
  • Manage change and expectations internally and externally with customers
  • Drive process improvement by documenting lessons learned, establishing best practices, and developing scalable frameworks

About you:

  • B.S. in engineering
  • 10+ years of experience, including time as an engineer in a manufacturing environment, project or program management, management consulting, or comparable experience in technical environments
  • Bring expertise in industrial or process engineering, with the ability to advise customers on process improvement and lean manufacturing optimization
  • Proven problem solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations such as customer inability to lock down scope due to changing product designs
  • High level of detail orientation and exceptional organizational skills
  • Experience managing and communicating with a range of stakeholders who may have differing perspectives and priorities
  • Able to independently develop frameworks and project plans through forward-looking thinking in situations without precedent
  • Must be a US citizen or GC holder

Bonus:

  • MBA
  • Technical expertise in software application development or embedded systems
