Job Summary

This customer-facing role leads and manages the onboarding process for new Employee Benefits customers in the small case market within Sales Support. The position is responsible for gathering sold case information from the customer, producer, and sales representative, and submitting it to initiate contract drafting and billing setup. The role ensures submitted materials accurately reflect customer intent, manages the onboarding lifecycle through installation, and transitions the group to the assigned Account Specialist for ongoing service. It also involves educating customers on The Standard’s services, resolving issues, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts by bringing forward the voice of the customer.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Gathering and submitting sold case information via Salesforce, forms, email, and phone
  • Partnering with internal partners to ensure accuracy and resolve outstanding questions
  • Leading group installation and transition to Account Specialist
  • Driving problem resolution and contributing to process improvement initiatives

Skills and Background You’ll Need

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred but not required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 or more years of responsible group insurance experience in account management
  • Preferred background in project management, benefits administration, case management, customer service, or sales
  • Direct customer-facing experience in employee benefits is required

Must-Haves:

  • Strong problem-solving skills for customer issues
  • Ability to manage onboarding activities
  • Effective communication and coordination across multiple teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work directly with external customers and internal partners across divisions

Preferred:

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools

Other Requirements:

  • Primarily remote with potential cross-functional project participation
  • Must be able to work independently and manage own schedule
  • Occasional mentoring of new team members

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

$64,250.00 - $94,000.00
