If you thrive on change, get energy from big, complex challenges, and are excited to grow fast alongside smart, ambitious people, then Go1 might be exactly what you’re looking for. We offer autonomy with accountability, space to experiment, and the opportunity to shape solutions that impact millions of learners worldwide. We don’t have all the answers — and that’s the point. We figure it out together. Every line of code, every conversation, every bold idea helps move us closer to our mission: to enable individuals, organizations, and society to progress. There’s still so much to build — and even more to discover. Go there with us...

We’re looking for an experienced Customer Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team and help customers unlock the full value of Go1. This role is ideal for a strategic, creative, and data-driven marketer who thrives in a dynamic environment and knows how to build meaningful engagement at scale.

One of the unique challenges and rewards of this role is building strong, authentic connections with both customers and Customer Success Managers around the globe. Operating in a remote-first environment means you’ll need to be creative and intentional in how you foster engagement. This is where your ability to think innovatively, collaborate across regions, and design scalable programs will truly make an impact.

In collaboration with the Product Marketing team, Customer Success, and Sales, this role will drive retention, expansion, and advocacy by delivering programs that make customers successful, celebrated, and inspired.

Key responsibilities and deliverables:

Customer Resources & Education

  • Create out-of-the-box resources that help customers drive learner engagement and adoption
  • Develop webinars and on-demand video content to educate customers on maximizing their Go1 solutions
  • Build thought leadership playbooks and guides that provide strategic, actionable value

Surprise & Delight

  • Run customer campaigns that celebrate and engage customers
  • Lead Go1’s customer awards program, recognizing our most innovative customers
  • Manage customer gifting and swag initiatives, such as holiday gifts or milestone celebrations
  • Plan and host in-person or virtual customer events that bring value and community to our customers.

Customer Storytelling & Advocacy

  • Own Go1’s customer reference program, generating and managing references to support sales and RFPs
  • Manage the Customer Advisory Board – planning, hosting, and ensuring meaningful collaboration
  • Partner with Product Marketing to generate case studies that highlight customer impact
  • Drive review-generation programs (G2, Capterra) to amplify customer voice in market
  • Partner with the Brand and Social teams to infuse customer voice into our marketing programs.

We're excited about you if:

  • Experience: 5+ years in customer marketing or a related field within a SaaS, B2B, or tech environment; experience with B2B2C engagement strategies and in-product marketing is a plus
  • Strategic & Data-Driven: Ability to think strategically while also analyzing data to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Campaign & Program Management: Proven experience designing, executing, and optimizing marketing programs across multiple channels (email, live events, webinars)
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong focus on understanding customer needs and creating experiences that drive value realization, retention, and engagement
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create compelling content for customer resources
  • Collaboration Skills: Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Product, and Sales, to align efforts and drive customer outcomes
  • Must be located within the Pacific time zone

Join our team at Go1 and be at the forefront of transforming education through innovative learning solutions. Together, we can change the world. One learner at time.
At Go1, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $100,000 and $140,000 (depending on location and experience). Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. This role is also eligible for the employee commission plan and employee stock options.

While technical skills are important, it is just as important for us find people who will positively contribute to our diverse culture. We welcome you to apply, even if you don't exactly meet the criteria above.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
