JOB SUMMARY
As a key member of the Marketing Team, the Consumer Insights Specialist will support the Brand Manager to develop and execute high quality, qualitative & quantitative research, synthesizing learnings into compelling stories, and presenting insight- and data- informed recommendations to cross-functional partners across the organization.
The ideal candidate will be a natural callaborator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses experience in consumer research methodologies and processes. They will be excited to uncover actionable insights on brand dynamics, voice of the customer (VOC), competition, and the healthcare landscape and the “so what” of our business. They will have a strong ability to build consumer research narratives in compelling, impactful ways, bringing visualization to data sets to drive business impact.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
Work Experience
- 2-4 years’ experience within corporate or agency consumer research practice

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience working in quantitative and qualitative research initiatives and methodologies to solve business objectives (for example, survey development and execution, segmentation, advertising effectiveness, creative testing, focus groups, brand tracking, competitive intelligence, etc.)
- Good written and oral communication skills, and experience presenting to large groups
- Well organized with the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines
- Experience working with research partners and/or platforms to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Healthcare and/or multi-location retail experience is preferable
- Embraces and fosters a culture of continuous learning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Essential Functions
- Together with marketing leadership, design and execute custom qualitative & quantitative primary research based on business priority/need.
- Evaluate third party data sources to contribute to a full view of marketing and business opportunities
- With Business Intelligence, analyze and interpret customer data to understand preferences, motivations and behaviors to represent the voice of the consumer in decision making.
- Identify opporunties to test creative and messaging as part of our marketing programs, including the hypothesis, methodolgy and partners, as needed.
- Collaborate with the media team, CRM team and agencies to integrate Media Mix Modeling and channel performance learnings into go forward plans and opportunities
- Integrate research with internal and external data sets to uncover the ‘what’s’, whys’, and ‘so what’s’ that drive evidence-based business decisions. Proactively generate and explore questions and hypotheses pertaining to our business across/within markets
- Hands-on management of the qualitative and quantitative research process/project from 3rd party vendor and/or sample provider relationship, survey questionnaire and to final reporting
- Deliver Insights projects to ensure that the projects/campaigns stay on track and deliver results in a timely manner working within the budget as needed.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across teams – marketing, business intelligence, IT, operations, joint venture partners to execute custom research studies.
- Work closely with Brand Director to synthesize data and present findings as clear, compelling narratives to internal and external stakeholders to drive decisions.
- Manage research partner/platform relationships, roadmaps, and capabilities.
- Confidently present research findings to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, driving alignment and action.
- Act as a strategic thought partner by connecting insights to business decisions and measurable outcomes.
- Proactively uncover customer trends and insights to inform innovation, enhance processes, and guide strategic direction.
- Identify opportunities to capture, analyze, and report customer feedback, including software, tools and/or partners
- Cohesively organize and store all research inputs and outputs for easy historical reference and access
- Collaborate with content teams (PR, social media, CSR, BD, etc.) to identify opportunities to leverage data and insights to tell our brand story
