This is a great opportunity to prepare and perform application tests and demonstrations (T&D) of the company's products and technologies to potential customers and deliver convincing results in alignment with the company's strategy and policies.
What you will own
- Analyze and frame all T&Ds specific requests received from customers and secure their preparation by defining a test plan, a possible script, the timeline and the necessary equipment configuration, settings, consumables and customer materials.
- Accountable to demonstrate all Essemtec products and technologies within the guidelines and instructions from the HQ Application Engineering group.
- Secure the necessary organization and preparation (in time, know-how and resources) to deliver convincing Tests and Demos(T&Ds).
- Execute Tests and Demos(T&Ds) in front of customers at the company demo centres, at customer places or during regional or national trade shows.
- Manage the US Tests and Demos(T&Ds) planning and resources (demo equipment) in coordination with Sales.
- In coordination with Sales, lead any clarification requirements for the T&Ds request, possibly scheduling clarification web calls.
- Organization and development of customer-specific application tests as well as their demonstration in front of the customer (dispensing, pick & place, oven and storage applications).
- Document all T&Ds and create convincing reports for customers, well-structured and self-explanatory in terms of findings and results.
- Support Sales for any technical needs, be it on specifications, configuration and processes.
- Support the Service team in case of any specific installation and acceptance tests or after-sales process needs.
- Perform a technical presentation, in coordination with Sales, to a specific audience.
- Secure excellent teamwork with multiple stakeholders (Sales, HQ Appl. Engineering, Product Mgt, Support, …) to secure all T&Ds.
· Maintain a high standard in the data quality in the CRM (up-to-date, accurate, …) and apply all company rules.
· Attend national and regional trade shows, events, open houses, as well as seminars and sales meetings.
· Collect any intelligence on competition by working with customers and understand market trends.
· Propose any improvements and/or adjustments to current products and technologies to demonstrate the products
· Escalate any issues which require management attention
What you have
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineer degree.
- Good SMT market knowledge and experience.
- Experience in dealing with customers.
- Solid technical background and familiar with process-driven technologies
- Good communication skills (writing and verbal)
- Objectives-driven and open to challenges.
- Able to work autonomously and in teams, self-organized, meticulous. Capable of achieving on your own.
- Ability to travel up to 45%.
