Associate Analyst, Custody Operations
The Role
Fidelity Digital Assets® is an exciting new business unit focused on bringing industry-leading digital asset custody and trading services to institutional & retail clients. The Analyst in Custody Operations is responsible for day-to-day operational activities including maintaining accurate books & records, settling with counterparties, reviewing transactions for approval, reconciling various systems and building subject matter expertise in digital assets. #cryptojobs. To be effective, you will work closely with your teammates on the Custody Operations team and peer teams and business partners to ensure understanding of client custody and operational needs as well as drive overall satisfaction. With your knowledge and commitment, you will become a collaborative and resourceful member of the Fidelity Digital Assets team, sharing best practices and driving successful results.
Working Hours: 4 x 10 hour rotational shifts which include nights, weekends, and holidays.
The Expertise and Skills You Have
Proven ability to complete a set of complex daily tasks, preferably in middle or back-office operational role(s) with strong attention to detail and efficient, accurate processing
Proven experience analyzing operational workflows and writing policies and procedures
Understanding of money movement, reconciliation and settlement concepts
Ability to recognize process inefficiency and recommend improvement opportunity
Passion and curiosity for digital asset technologies (we can guide the specifics; we can’t teach passion and curiosity!)
You will report to the Senior Manager of Operations and will be responsible for a range of activities to support institutional custody. As a member of the Custody Operations team, you will:
Provide daily operational support, including settlement, reconciliation, transaction review, triaging issues and reporting
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
Participate in, and provide valuable input into, conversations with business partners including Product, Risk, Compliance, Exchange Operations, Customer Support, etc. to support ongoing client needs and drive process improvement
Bring operational expertise in trading, asset movement to the business
Your experience in prior roles with detailed, task oriented operational support managing day to day work and building for the future
Your excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Your ability to work well on teams and in fast-paced, cross-collaborative environments
Your ability to think analytically and deliver solutions to complex challenges
Your ability to think ahead, anticipate questions, plan for contingencies, and find alternative solutions

Fidelity Digital Asset Services is an emerging business unit, dedicated to serving existing customers as well as a growing new customer base within the Fidelity enterprise. This role represents an exciting opportunity to help launch Institutional relationship capabilities within the business and help bring the vision for the future to life.
The base salary range for this position is $48,000-91,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
