Omniscient Digital is an organic growth agency that partners with ambitious B2B SaaS companies like SAP, Adobe, Loom, and Hotjar to turn SEO and content into growth engines.

About this role

Omniscient Digital is growing quickly, and we deeply believe in our commitment to never compromise content quality. It’s what differentiates us from other agencies. Writing great content requires great writers.

We’re expanding our portfolio to include leading-edge companies innovating at the intersection of crypto and startup finance. We are seeking a stellar writer with deep experience covering blockchain, cryptocurrency, tokenized assets, decentralized finance (DeFi), and crypto-based equity compensation models. The application passcode is DeFi Crypto.

*Please note that we don’t work with writers who subcontract their work.

Responsibilities:

  • Create blog content (and potentially other types of marketing content) that appeals to:

    • Crypto startup founders and CFOs by providing actionable insights on crypto cap table management, token issuance structures, decentralized fundraising (e.g., ICOs, token launches), and evolving compliance standards (SEC, CFTC, FinCEN).

    • Venture-backed employees and DAO contributors, focusing on token-based compensation, token vesting schedules, and secondary liquidity options in decentralized environments.

    • Financial, legal, and compliance professionals by translating crypto-specific legal frameworks, such as token classification, tax reporting obligations, and securities law interpretations.

  • Translate complex crypto, blockchain, and financial regulatory concepts (e.g., SAFTs, tokenomics, DAO governance structures, crypto asset tax treatment) into engaging, accessible content

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, such as tokenized equity, blockchain-based compliance tooling, and decentralized cap tables, ensuring that content reflects the latest crypto developments

  • Use the company's brand voice and messaging for written pieces

  • QA content for factual accuracy, readability, and compliance with editorial guidelines

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards

  • Manage complex information and multiple projects within content specifications and budget restrictions

Job Qualifications and Technical Skill Sets:

  • 2+ years of experience writing about crypto, blockchain technology, DeFi, or token-based financial systems. You understand both technical and regulatory nuances in these spaces.

  • Deep familiarity with crypto equity and fundraising mechanisms, including ICOs, SAFTs, token launches, airdrops, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), liquidity pools, and staking.

  • Ability to translate technical and legal crypto concepts into digestible, compelling content that resonates with both crypto-native and crypto-curious audiences.

  • Experience interviewing subject matter experts. You’re comfortable independently conducting SME interviews to add industry opinion and narrative to your content. You know how to draft insightful questions to extract key information and structure compelling narratives around SME responses.

  • Time management and organizational skills. You always meet your deadlines—or communicate in advance when you may need a deadline pushed back.

  • A passion for crypto innovation, decentralized finance, and blockchain storytelling. You stay on top of industry trends and enjoy breaking down complex crypto concepts into clear, engaging narratives.

  • Experience writing for both technical and non-technical audiences (e.g., CFOs, founders, startup employees).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and healthy analytical and critical thinking skills. You turn complex crypto concepts into compelling narratives. You’re skilled at finding the story within complicated topics and can capture our client’s brand voice in every piece of writing.

  • SEO experience. You’re not new to marketing and understand the various considerations that inform a piece of SEO content. You know how to search-optimize your content without sacrificing quality, and can balance the needs of both your client and reader.

  • Positive attitude. You’re kind, passionate, curious, and friendly! You’re open to exploring new ideas, stay updated on trending topics in the crypto space, and feel passionately about crafting excellent content. You welcome feedback and love learning how to improve your craft.

  • Experience with both print and digital media formats. You’re also proficient in word processor programs such as Microsoft Word and Google Docs and PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat.

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with crypto equity management, DAO treasury governance, or tokenized fundraising.

  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting crypto projects (e.g., Howey Test applications, MiCA regulations, IRS crypto tax guidelines)

  • Experience working with blockchain development teams, crypto-native companies, or investor relations in the Web3 space.

Portfolio

A recent portfolio of crypto writing is required. Please submit 3-5 published samples from the past three years, with at least two pieces demonstrating expertise in crypto finance, tokenomics, blockchain regulations, or DeFi. Older samples may be accepted if accompanied by more recent works.
