About The Role

We're hiring a Performance Creative Strategist to own ad creative strategy across our product portfolio, both OpusClip, our flagship clipping product, and Agent Opus, our agentic AI video creation product.

You'll sit at the intersection of creative and performance: analyzing what works, identifying whitespace opportunities, translating insights into creative hypotheses, and owning the execution of those ideas from brief to launch. You'll build the systems that connect creative insights directly to business outcomes.

This is a rare opportunity to shape how a fast-growing AI company approaches ad creative, not as an output, but as one of our most important growth levers. You'll work closely with our Head of Growth and external media buying partners in a small, fast-moving team with real ownership over the entire creative-to-performance loop.

What You'll Do
  1. Own creative intelligence

    • Own creative analysis, reporting, and competitive intelligence to understand what's working and where we should test next.

    • Build internal dashboards and creative analysis systems (using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar), or evaluate best-in-class SaaS solutions.

    • Organize and quantify our creative coverage across different formats, angles, ICPs, and use cases to identify creative gaps and whitespace opportunities.

    • Analyze our own ads and competitor creatives using tools such as Foreplay and other creative intelligence platforms to uncover winning patterns.

    • Continuously benchmark competitors across creative volume, formats, messaging, hooks, and production quality.

  1. Use creative to unlock growth

    • Partner closely with the Head of Growth to identify new ICP hypotheses, messaging opportunities, and use cases worth testing through paid creative.

    • Develop creative hypotheses designed to unlock growth in both emerging and mature acquisition channels.

    • Help determine which creative ideas deserve investment based on current business priorities and performance opportunities.

  2. Own the creative production pipeline

    • Manage our end-to-end paid creative pipeline across multiple creative sources, including UGC creators, influencer content, static concepts, in-house production, and externally produced video creatives

    • Own creative production from brief to launch, writing briefs, sourcing UGC creators, collaborating with designers and editors, requesting revisions, and ensuring quality before launch

    • Prioritize creative production based on business needs while keeping multiple workstreams moving simultaneously

  3. Partner with our outsourced media buyers

    • Work closely with our external media buying partners to maintain a steady pipeline of high-quality creative tests

    • Develop a strong understanding of our ad account structure and testing roadmap to ensure creative and media buying remain tightly aligned

  4. Drive company-wide creative insights

    • Translate creative learnings into actionable insights that influence product positioning, messaging, and broader marketing strategy

    • Share creative trends, competitive intelligence, and testing insights with teams across the company

Who We're Looking For
  • Highly organized - You’re type A in organization skills, without sacrificing creativity

  • Good multitasker. You can context switch, no problem switching mindset between OpusClip versus Agent Opus

  • Strong management skills over freelancers and other contractors. You draft clear instructions, address confusion early, and keep tight timelines on track

  • You live and breathe ad creative strategy and social media. Your camera roll and bookmarks are overflowing creatives you want to draw inspiration from, and you’re on the cutting edge of social media and what video formats are on the rise.

  • Hyper aware of the AI landscape (frontier labs, major application layer companies) and AI creative tool landscape. You know the selling points, the objections, and what the competitive landscape looks like. (Some nuance can be learned on the job, but you should come with a decent understanding of the market landscape)

  • Creative is your expertise, but you still “know enough to be dangerous” about raw media buying:

    • You understand the post-Andromeda world, + role of creative strategy vs media buying

    • Understand modern (post-2024) creative testing methodologies

    • Understand modern ad platform basics - best practice ad account structure, conversion goals, bidding strategies, etc

    • Difference between top of funnel vs bottom of funnel creatives, and how their metrics appear differently

Bonus If You Have
  • You create social media content for fun

  • You have a solid 101-level understanding of complementary marketing strategies like influencer/creator marketing, UGC, YouTube, etc

  • Current user of AI creative tools (OpusClip/Agent Opus, Higgsfield, Flora, Openart, Elevenlabs, etc)

This Role Probably Isn't Right For You If…
  • Your experience is primarily focused on media buying or holistic performance marketing rather than creative strategy

  • You aren't actively following changes in social media, creative trends, or the AI ecosystem

  • You prefer highly structured environments over fast-moving startups where priorities evolve quickly

  • You're uncomfortable taking ownership of ambiguous problems and building new systems from scratch

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
