The Creative Director is responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s creative and brand expression across all marketing and communications channels.
This is a hands-on, player-coach role within a small, high-performing marketing organization. The Creative Director will set creative direction, contribute directly to creative production, manage a designer, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver compelling creative across campaigns, events, digital platforms, and multimedia content—including video.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Direction & Brand Stewardship
Lead the firm’s creative vision and ensure consistent brand expression across all marketing touchpoints
Own and evolve brand guidelines, visual identity, and creative standards
Translate marketing objectives and messaging into engaging, on-brand creative solutions
Hands-On Design & Creative Execution
Actively contribute to design and creative production across digital and print deliverables, including campaigns, event materials, presentations, publications, and web assets
Balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, particularly for high-visibility or time-sensitive initiatives
Maintain high creative standards while working efficiently in a lean, collaborative environment
Video & Multimedia Oversight
Oversee the creative direction and production of video content across formats and channels
Support nimble, self-recorded video content for social media and digital platforms, providing creative guidance on storytelling, visual standards, and presentation
Partner with external vendors and agencies on higher-production video projects, including concept development, creative direction, and quality control
Ensure all video content aligns with brand standards and marketing objectives
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Manage and mentor a small team of direct reports including designers and content creators, providing creative leadership, feedback, and professional development
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including events, campaigns, web, and communications to support integrated marketing initiatives
Partner with external agencies, freelancers, and production vendors, ensuring creative alignment and executional excellence
Project & Stakeholder Management
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment
Present creative concepts and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders
Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
Creative Operations & Continuous Improvement
Establish and refine creative workflows, tools, and processes to support consistency and scalability
Stay current on design, branding, and multimedia trends relevant to B2B and professional services audiences
Identify opportunities to elevate the firm’s visual storytelling across channels
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, communications, or a related field
8–12 years of creative experience, including hands-on design and leadership responsibilities
Experience overseeing or directing video and multimedia projects, both internally produced and vendor-led
Background in professional services, B2B, or brand-driven organizations preferred
Strong portfolio demonstrating brand systems, campaigns, multimedia work, and hands-on execution
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing external agencies
Skills & Attributes

Understanding of video storytelling and digital-first content formats

Tools & Technology
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across a range of creative and marketing tools, including:
Design & Creative
Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Figma (or comparable design and collaboration tools)
PowerPoint / Keynote for client-facing and internal presentations
Video & Multimedia
Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects for video editing and motion graphics
Familiarity with lightweight video capture workflows (self-recorded video, basic lighting/audio setups)
Experience working with external video production vendors and post-production partners
Digital & Collaboration
Familiarity with web content management systems and working alongside web teams (hands-on coding not required)
Collaboration and project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar
File-sharing and review platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Box, Frame.io, or equivalent)
Nice to Have
Experience with motion graphics, animation, or interactive content
Familiarity with social media content formats and platform requirements
Understanding of accessibility and brand governance best practices

The annualized base salary range for this position is expected to be $180,000.00-$230,000.00. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives for which this position is eligible.
