Position Title: Counsel - Corporate / M&A

Contract: Full-time

Posting Jurisdictions: USA - Remote

Compensation: TBC based on experience and location

Sterlington are the ultimate law firm for private clients, private capital, senior executives, founders, HNWIs and family offices, as well as related businesses, in both corporate and litigation matters. We take a commercial and holistic approach to the legal and business needs of our clients.

We have an office in New York, but you are free to work remotely, giving you the flexibility to work where you want.


The Role:

Deal-making is our core competency, with an active practice representing buyers and sellers in a variety of industries. Our team is commercially minded, creative, and practical.

Working with a leading Corporate/M&A partner, you will ideally have 8 years plus corporate law experience. We are particularly keen to speak to Attorneys with Funds experience and exposure to LLC investments. We would welcome attorneys who are currently working at senior associate and Counsel level in a recognized corporate law firm.

We regularly act for buyers and sellers in middle market transactions valued between $50m and $1b and advise founders and significant investors in $1b + transactions. We regularly represent investment managers and wealth management platforms on spinouts and rollups.

In the Corporate group we also work in Investment Management, Finance, Crypto and fintech, Cyber security and data privacy, and Tax.

Sterlington’s partners come from premier firms, including Wachtell, Cravath, Simpson Thacher, and Boies Schiller. You will work in an ambitious, agile, and high-performing team that is committed to delivering excellent results and associate development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Ideally 8 years plus of experience in Corporate and M&A law at an AM Law 100 firm, ideally with Funds and LLC investments.
