- Guide materials engineering and purchasing teams to reduce complexity and consolidate cost-effective solutions.
- Act as a liaison between materials engineering and purchasing teams, creating proactive processes for managing material costs.
- Understand the materials ecosystem and design tools to enhance team collaboration and efficiency.
- Validate raw material and manufacturing standards using statistical and data analytics methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external software suppliers.

Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in automotive cost estimating, manufacturing, product design/engineering, purchasing, materials engineering or related.
- Ability to analyze and organize large amounts of data.
- Experience with MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of production processes, suppliers' cost structures, and cost modeling.
- Awareness of raw material industry trends.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects autonomously.
- Skills to lead change, resolve conflicts, and influence without direct authority.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in analytical and business intelligence tools.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Knowledge in statistical and data analytics methodologies
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel VBA, Python, and Power BI.
- Ability to use commercially available cost estimation software
