Job Summary & Responsibilities

General Summary of Position:

Cost Assurance Team has an opening for a Cost Audit Analyst to be responsible for reviewing invoiced charges and working with our vendors and internal departments in resolving billing issues, auditing carrier invoices, and submitting disputes to resolve billing issues.


Audits including Cost-no-Revenue requires the analyst to review services that either are not found in Granite’s internal inventory or are actively missing revenue charges. Identifying and maintaining expected cost, or auditing specific charges including taxes and surcharges. Any charges deemed erroneous through the various audits will be disputed and tracked to completion through the standard dispute process.

 

Analyst will also leverage Excel, SQL, and PowerPivot to cross reference datasets to accomplish tasks, strengthen audits, and improve coverage to drive internal reporting (various reports and cubes).


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile Granite’s cost and revenue records to ensure Granite is charging customers for all ordered services
  • Isolate erroneous charges/billings through other applicable audits across various areas of Granite’s cost.
  • Submit timely, well documented disputes to vendors for erroneous billing via the standardized dispute process.
  • Monitor and reject any incomplete billing disputes that would quickly be denied by the vendors.
    • Review carrier responses to recoup credits or update cost expectation accordingly
  • Collaborate internally with teams at Granite to resolve billing issues on the carrier side.
  • Resolve inquiries from internal teams on assigned Email day.
  • Perform Ad Hoc analysis on high priority initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experienced in understanding audit concepts, and data analysis.
  • Excellent research skills-Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Self-Motivated-Ability to work equally well under supervision and independently.
  • Comfortable in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understand SQL or similar database languages.
