Role Overview:
The Senior Life Solutions Consultant (SLSC) is responsible for achieving and exceeding life insurance sales objectives across an assigned territory and individual General Offices. This role leads and manages a team of Life Solutions Consultants while delivering advanced sales concepts, product expertise, and technical guidance to New York Life agents to drive life insurance and related investment sales.
The preferred location is within the PA Zone and will support zone offices in life sales, particularly with the top offices, while managing a team of Life Solutions Consultants.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Product Consultants supporting a captive agency sales force
  • Drive life insurance sales growth by partnering closely with agents and field leadership across the respective Zone
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, managers, and General Office leadership
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in New York Life's life insurance products, sales processes, and solutions
  • Provide case development, product design, and technical support for individual and business planning needs
  • Introduce and educate field management and agents on new products, enhancements, and sales strategies
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to agents, management teams, and clients
  • Support the field through individual meetings, group sessions, and in-person presentations
  • Collaborate proactively with General Office leadership to align sales strategies and objectives

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of life insurance wholesaling experience
  • Broad knowledge of the life insurance business, sales processes, and investment product dynamics
  • Strong ability to work independently while driving results in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Industry designations such as CFP®, CLU®, or ChFC® highly desirable
  • Life insurance license and FINRA registrations: Series 6 or 7, Series 63, and Series 65 or 66
  • Understanding of Advanced Markets concepts is a plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently (typically ~50%, with potential for up to 100% based on business needs)

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: No
Sales bonus eligible: Yes
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
