Job Purpose:

In 2021, Shields created the Corporate Strategy team to work directly with Executive Leadership team to execute on all company priorities, including all strategy & growth workstreams, operational improvement initiatives, business development opportunities and new business innovation ideas. Members of the Corporate Strategy team have the opportunity to experience every aspect of the Company before finding an operations or functional leadership role or lead a new growth initiative for the business. The Corporate Strategy team works in lockstep with the Strategic Operations group, with more of a focus on supporting critical internal functions, strategic partnerships, and new product launches.

This will be a very hands-on and analytical role and will support the Shared Services leadership team to drive excellent operational and financial performance for the largest centralized team within the organization. Corporate Strategy professionals will be expected to manage cross-functional projects through completion and support the initiatives with data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, highly resourceful, strong analytical skills and possess the ability to work comfortably inside a highly entrepreneurial environment that is very results-oriented. 

Job Duties:

  • Work directly with the Shared Services leadership team to identify and execute on critical functional priorities
    • Support Senior Vice President and Directors of Shared Services to facilitate successful financial and operational outcomes for the Patient Support Center and Engagement Center
    • Buildout and maintain analytics and data reporting mechanisms to monitor growth
    • Collaborate with Regional Operations leaders and Strategic Operations team members and to align priorities and drive key workflows and initiatives
    • Develop financial forecasts and detailed data analyses to support decision making
    • Assist in all other day-to-day strategy and operations for the function, facilitating effective decision-making through analysis and execution of strategic projects
  • Act as key member of the Corporate Strategy and Strategic Operations teams to drive growth across the organization
    • Work on projects as directed by the Executive Leadership Team to execute on key business priorities & corporate strategies
    • Support the execution of operational and strategic initiatives
    • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the C-Suite to facilitate efficient decision making
  • Proactively pursue ancillary business and growth opportunities

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3+ years of relevant work experience; ideally in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a strategy role in a high-growth, healthcare start up environment
  • Entrepreneurial attitude - willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and work cross functionally to make things happen quickly
  • Must be highly motivated, results-driven professional who can thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience in summarizing and presenting Company results in formal Management or Board of Director settings
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including financial modeling and data visualization
  • Analytically oriented; makes and defends decisions based on hard data
  • Hard worker and self-starter who is able to work independently, with limited oversight from managers
  • Effective at multi-tasking; someone who enjoys and thrives wearing multiple hats at once
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Healthcare experience preferred, but not required
  • Corporate Strategy associates professionals will likely travel 5% of their time, meeting with customers, site leaders, operational employees, pharmacists and clinical staff
