We are seeking a Director of Business Development and Partnerships to join our team and play a pivotal role in expanding our corporate partnerships while working remotely in an inclusive and diverse work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strong relationships with corporate clients, facilitating collaboration, and driving revenue growth by leveraging insights from the live entertainment and events industries. This role focuses on diversifying the Company’s revenue beyond advertising, with a big opportunity in the market to partner with venue operators, large events including sporting events, entertainment and music festivals, conferences and trade shows, as well as retailers. Soofa is very well positioned as a partner to these customer groups, especially being the only 100% solar-powered digital kiosks with ZERO carbon emissions. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying the right partners, building the right relationships and figuring out the right strategic partnerships to develop the new revenue opportunity, as well as growing the number of Soofa signs and distribution around the U.S. The position will report directly to our CEO, and will play a key role at the Company. In addition, the Director of Business development will have the exciting opportunity to engage with large-scale events and venues to help create memorable and impactful experiences for attendees. Soofa has a remote first culture, and the location of the Director of Business Development is flexible, with a preference for candidates located in the Central or East Coast time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new corporate partnerships, leveraging your network and market insights to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the successful execution of partnership agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to develop customized solutions that meet the unique requirements of corporate partners for large events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Lead negotiations, proposals, and presentations to potential clients, showcasing our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences in sales with Big Box Retail and at large events and creating lasting brand impressions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities, particularly in the context of big box retail and large events, to inform strategic decision-making and ensure our products and services remain competitive.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience with corporate partnerships, large-scale events, and/or selling OOH furniture
  • A book of business and experience with leading sales into a wide array of national brands
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed quotas and goals
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
