Job DescriptionThe Corporate Development & Ventures group at Bose seeks to accelerate our corporate strategy through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate venture capital (CVC) investments and will:
- identify and bring into Bose through acquisition, external technologies, capabilities or businesses that accelerate existing businesses plans or create new Bose businesses;
- develop and execute a CVC strategy that makes strategic investments in start-up companies;
- establish a “center of excellence” for assessing, valuing, negotiating, and executing deals; and
- help champion a culture within Bose that seeks and embraces outside technology and ideas.
In order to help successfully establish this function within Bose, we are seeking an intern who is passionate about innovation and an outstanding communicator and collaborator with strong business skills to “make beautiful noise” with us over the summer. As a summer intern you will work directly with the Manager and Senior Manager on the team.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of Bose’s transaction pipeline in order to effectively contribute to the evaluation of opportunities for the company.
Evaluate and provide your perspective on potential new technologies, ideas and businesses.
Present proposals for bringing in new technologies, ideas and businesses to internal leadership.
Conduct research and support administrative efforts to establish our corporate venturing function and strategy.
Help to create internal processes and implement best practices for originating and executing transactions and integrating new technologies, ideas and businesses within Bose.
Role Requirements:
Self-driven, early-adopter with excellent business acumen and entrepreneurial enthusiasm.
Strong critical thinking skills for analyzing and synthesizing elements of multidisciplinary, complex problems.
Confidence, presence, and credibility to command the respect of all stakeholders.
Solid team player with demonstrated ability to drive cohesion and collaboration.
Solid technical expertise with financial analyses and presentations.
Education and Experience:
Enrolled in MBA program, ideally pursuing 1st year of 2-year MBA program.
3-5 years combined experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity or related roles
