Job Summary:
Impiricus is seeking a dynamic, startup-savvy General Counsel to quarterback all legal related matters and serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team. The General Counsel will coordinate all corporate legal affairs with the goal to continue accelerating the business forward.
This individual must bring hands-on experience working within tech and pharma environments with strong knowledge of TCPA, Commercial regulatory environments in pharma (including MLR and privacy laws), and data privacy. The individual must have a bias toward enabling growth while managing risk. You’ll help Impiricus scale confidently and compliantly in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Legal Strategy
- Serve as legal advisor to the Company on Business, Commercial and Corporate matters
- Quarterback on legal needs for the company leveraging own expertise and outside counsel
- Provide guidance on TCPA, pharma marketing regulations, and data privacy
- Support processes for corporate legal matters (due diligence, corporate governance, etc)
- Support processes for MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) reviews with clients
Business Operations
- Draft, negotiate, and manage agreements with vendors, partners, etc..
- Partner with the business to enable business development and accelerate growth.
- Streamline and oversee contract lifecycle management processes.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across all functional areas.
- Manage relationships with external counsel on litigation, employment matters, and IP protection.
Experience:
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing.
- 7+ years of legal experience, including time in-house within healthcare technology interacting with Pharma.
- Strong knowledge of TCPA, data privacy, pharma marketing regulations, and MLR processes.
- Demonstrated ability to quarterback in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment without slowing down the business
- Experience working in a startup / growth stage environment
