Software Engineer Rotational Program – Early Career

Our Core Development Program is a rotational experience designed for soon-to-be graduates (BS, MS, or PhD) looking to build a strong foundation in software engineering. The program offers opportunities in front-end, back-end and/or full stack development across our product teams. You’ll contribute to real codebases and collaborate cross-functionally gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies.

Program Highlights:

  • 3-week onboarding and training: Learn core technologies, tools, platforms, and best practices.
  • Two 6-week team rotations: Complete two 6-week software development projects with different InterSystems product teams (HealthShare, IntelliCare, Data Platforms, Financial Services)
  • Mentorship and support: Work closely with experienced engineers for guidance and career development.
  • Team placement: At the end of the program, participants transition to their long-term role with a team based on interest, fit, and business needs.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Background

  • Soon-to-be graduates with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM field. Graduation dates ranging from December 2025 to August 2026.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, C#)
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming

Professional Attributes

  • Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
  • Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and domains
  • Initiative shown through personal, academic, or team projects

InterSystems is providing a current good faith estimate of the anticipated base salary range for this position depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, skills, and performance.

Other compensation may include a discretionary annual variable target incentive.

The estimated base compensation range for this role is:
$100,000$125,000 USD
