About the role

You'll join Notion's Creative Studio, a small team of designers, illustrators, and filmmakers serving creative needs across the company—from brand campaigns to our user conference "Make with Notion." As our Brand Copywriter, you'll bring Notion's voice to life and collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams to develop concepts and messaging for campaigns and product launches. You'll be the steward for our copy standards and create tools that empower writers, teams, and partners to speak authentically for Notion.


What you'll do
  • You will pair closely with other creatives and marketers to develop concepts for brand campaigns and product launches by developing creative territories and messaging.

  • You will help to define and scale Notion's voice by creating tools and guidelines that empower teams and writers across the company as well as external agency partners.

  • You will craft copy across channels: headlines, taglines, scripts, paid and social ads, landing pages, emails, and OOH.

  • You will develop a keen understanding of Notion's products, processes, audiences, key business objectives, and competitive landscape and connect that knowledge to your day-to-day craft.

  • You will be comfortable presenting creative work and rationale to your peers, stakeholders and leadership.

What you'll bring
  • You have 5-7+ years of experience as a brand and marketing copywriter, with a mix of agency and in-house roles at design-forward or product-led companies.

  • You will bring a broad portfolio of campaign-oriented work showcasing idea generation, best-in-class storytelling, and multi-channel execution.

  • You will have strong conceptual chops and strategic thinking and be very comfortable at distilling complex or ambiguous ideas into simple and captivating stories.

  • You will have deep experience collaborating with visual designers, motion designers, filmmakers, and strategists.

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $170,000- $205,000 per year.
