GEICO Marketing's Creative Studio is seeking an experienced marketing copywriter to help grow our national marketing efforts. We're a busy, growing team providing support for a robust department within a major national company. 
 
Perhaps you've heard of us? We've been making customers laugh for decades. Sadly, the Gecko won't be available for the interview, but we'll do our best to report back to him. 
 
RESPONSIBILITES:
* Under general supervision, coordinates and writes copy for email, direct mail, print, digital, and outdoor advertising marketing communication projects directed to current and prospective customers. 
* Creates original concepts for marketing campaigns, working individually and as a part of a creative team. 
* Consults and advises internal clients concerning project requirements. 
* Discusses creative concepts and explains new copy and production opportunities 
* Evaluates the results and recommends further actions for advertising campaigns. 
* Writes, proofreads, and edits original copy for projects requested by Marketing associates and other internal clients 
* Coordinates and manages project files associated with creative campaigns. 
* Coordinates with required GEICO departments, including General Counsel and external agencies, to gain final approval and complete projects. 
* Assists in training junior Copywriters on project management processes, systems, and tools employed by the Creative Services division. 
* Reviews, revises, and rewrites as necessary all forms and direct mail packages as they come up for reprint. 
* Works with Graphic Designers to develop print specifications for cost estimates.
* Proofreads copy prior to printing and approves signoffs for direct mailings and print projects.

* On your resume - proven experience in marketing creative, including writing, wordsmithing, and, if possible, editing 
* In your portfolio - targeted marketing/sales copy, direct mail, and social media 
* Familiarity with the AP Stylebook (a plus) 
* Native fluency in Latin American Spanish (a big plus)

Annual Salary

$64,575.00 - $101,475.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
