Department Overview
Our Servicing experts service all Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA Finance loans originated by Walker & Dunlop as well as certain life insurance companies, bank, and CMBS loans. Our Servicing experts are the borrower’s primary point of contact and ensure that the requirements of the investors are met from loan closing through payoff. The Department consists of six main functional areas: Loan Administration, Asset Management, Insurance Compliance, Investor Reporting, Treasury, and Compliance. W&D’s Servicing portfolio is the 8th largest in the U.S., and W&D is one of Fitch’s highest-rated Servicers, with a rating of CPS1-.
The Impact You Will Have
As a Coordinator, you will gain broad exposure and a foundational understanding of Servicing and Asset Management group activities within Walker and Dunlop. This position will assist with a broad range of transaction types such as management changes, easements, transfers of interests and assumptions.
Primary Responsibilities
Uses an understanding of the department’s operations and business objectives to proactively assist management.
Facilitates transaction related documents being executed, notarized, and delivered.
Assures that loan-related contacts are identified and entered in our systems for each loan (and updated as necessary).
Assist with development and processing of reports for accurate consent tracking.
Coordinates with asset managers, legal counsel, borrowers, and stakeholders to ensure timely collection and deliverables on consent packages.
Assist with development and monitoring of departments policies and procedures/training modules.
Assists with maintaining the GSE Asset Management department intranet site (“WD Connect”), including maintaining of department policies and procedures.
Assist VP with audit document collection and schedule for GSE Asset Management department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred
Previous work experience in a corporate setting, working on special projects requiring analytical, administrative, technical, and interpersonal skills preferred (in Servicing or commercial real estate finance is a plus)
Experience with GSE Multifamily Real Estate/legal documents/closing a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong business sense and ability to prioritize work as well as to find solutions to various problems while prioritizing and managing deadlines
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, judgment, flexibility, and dependability
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work as a part of a team, while providing a strong individual contribution
Excellent computer skills with ability to create and utilize spreadsheets

This position has an estimated base salary of $55,000 - $65,000 plus discretionary bonus. An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
