Changing Healthcare For Good
At Angle Health, we believe the healthcare system should be accessible, transparent, and easy to navigate. As a digital-first, data-driven health plan, we are replacing legacy systems with modern infrastructure to deliver our members the care they need when they need it. If you want to build the future of healthcare, we'd love for you to join us.
The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, strategic, and hands-on Controller to help lead our accounting function through an exciting phase of growth. This is a high-visibility role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, rolls up their sleeves, and can independently own complex initiatives from start to finish. You’ll be instrumental in strengthening our month-end close, reporting, audit readiness, treasury operations, and regulatory compliance—while also partnering closely with our FP&A team to bridge actuals with forecasts. You won’t just manage processes—you’ll help build and evolve them. This is an opportunity to leave your fingerprint on the financial backbone of a company scaling quickly, with future paths to team leadership and broader finance ownership as we continue to grow.
This position is based in our brand new NYC office on a Hybrid basis (minimum 3 days a week in the office).
Core Responsibilities
This role will be 80% accounting, 20% finance. You’ll lead core accounting functions while also contributing to FP&A and strategic finance. Expect to be in the weeds and at the table.
Lead and manage all aspects of the accounting function, including month-end close, audit prep, and financial reporting
Own key areas such as working capital management, treasury, and regulatory compliance
Partner cross-functionally with FP&A to bridge actuals with forecasts and budgets
Roll up your sleeves on strategic finance projects, M&A prep, or ad hoc executive asks
Help implement scalable processes and systems as the business grows
Take ownership of projects end-to-end with minimal oversight—this is a high-autonomy role
What We Value (Qualifications)
8+ years of accounting experience, including time at a Big 4 firm
CPA certification
Experience in both public accounting and in-house industry roles
Ability to operate autonomously, think critically, and adapt quickly
Excellent communicator who can collaborate across departments in a flat, fast-moving org
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries
Background in both startups and large companies
Exposure to FP&A, strategic finance, or investor reporting
