Your Impact at LILA

Lila is replacing its procure-to-pay platform. Coupa has been selected, an implementation partner is engaged, and go-live is targeted for Q1 2027 on a fifteen-week build.

As the P2P Specialist you own configuration through go-live. After launch you triage issue tickets, turn recurring problems into configuration or training fixes, and produce a documented handover package for the internal owners.

This is a six-month contract based at our OCP office in Cambridge, MA, working day to day with the systems integrator and partnering with Finance, Legal, and the scientists who depend on the system.

What You'll Be Building

  • Coordinate and run configuration workshops with stakeholders alongside the systems integrator
  • Execute and document configuration workstreams: approval matrices, guided buying, catalogs, punch-out, supplier onboarding
  • Build and load catalog and punch-out content, starting with the highest-volume suppliers
  • Configure the approval hierarchy against the approved signing matrix and test it thoroughly before go-live
  • Run data migration and validation across the supplier master, open commitments, and historical purchase orders
  • Own user acceptance testing: write the scripts, run the sessions, log defects, drive them to closure
  • Hold dual-system reconciliation through the parallel run so no order is duplicated or dropped
  • Manage the systems integrator day to day and escalate risks internally
  • Triage post-go-live issues and hand over complete documentation to trained internal owners

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Hands-on configuration experience on a modern P2P or source-to-pay platform, Coupa strongly preferred, deep Ariba, Zip, or Oracle experience considered
  • At least one full implementation or major module go-live where you personally held configuration or UAT
  • Working knowledge of three-way match, tolerance thresholds, and approval hierarchy design
  • Catalog and punch-out enablement, and supplier network onboarding
  • Data migration and validation experience: you can reconcile a supplier master and explain every variance
  • Temperament for a fast, visible project where the end users are scientists with experiments waiting

Bonus Points For

  • Ironclad or similar CLM experience
  • Life sciences or research environment, including lab consumables and capital equipment buying patterns
  • ERP integration exposure: NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar
  • Experience running hypercare alongside a systems integrator
  • Having decommissioned a legacy platform, not just stood up a new one

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
