Job Summary

Establish and maintain agent hierarchy for purposes of contracting an agent to submit business to a carrier which is information used for the purposes of reporting and paying of commissions. Maintain and validate contracting and appointments through Crump. Act as a liaison between the insurance agents and insurance carriers for all contracting requests. Responsible for setting agents expectations appropriately and providing an exceptional service experience throughout the process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate Contracting and Appointments of insurance agents with insurance carriers.
  • Provides insurance agents with instructions and required forms, consistent with state and carrier guidelines, to complete and return for processing.
  • Reviews and processes contracting to the carrier for one product line
  • Follow-up with agents via email or phone for outstanding requirements or to provide status of pending contract & appointment.
  • Follow-up with insurance carrier to obtain contract & appointment approval and notify agent and internal staff.
  • Maintains and updates internal processing database to reflect work activity and communications on agent and corporate records to include personal information, carrier identifications, state licenses, appointment activations, terminations and executions and agent death claims.
  • Responsible for all incoming and outgoing electronic and paper mail, review and prepare documents for distribution and manage document storage.
  • Acts as a conduit for all issues associated with contracting to include coordination with all internal departments as needed.
  • Handles telephone calls on designated phone loop.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a self-directed fashion
  • Experience with PCs in a Windows environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • High School Graduate or equivalent GED
  • Two years of customer service experience
  • Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment and problem solving in a professional area
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate precisely and professionally in both verbal and written communication with internal and external customers
  • Ability to react to change in a productive and positive manner
  • Ability and willingness to support department to accomplish team goals
  • Proficiency with Adobe, use of SharePoint sites, internet/web searches and video conferencing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
