About the Role

We are seeking a highly technical Senior Recruiter with a proven track record of sourcing and securing world-class talent in the AI and machine learning domains. As a pivotal member of our recruitment team at a leading generative AI company, you will drive the full-cycle hiring process for highly specialized roles—ensuring that we attract, assess, and onboard the brightest minds in artificial intelligence, research, and engineering. Your expertise will directly impact our mission to push the boundaries of generative AI innovation and maintain our position at the forefront of the industry.

This is a 40-hour-per-week contract role (aligned to Pacific Standard Time), with potential for extension or conversion to full-time based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for highly technical, hard-to-fill roles in AI, machine learning, research, engineering, and related functions.
  • Source, engage, and assess world-class AI talent through advanced sourcing strategies across platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, Google Scholar, arXiv, Kaggle, and niche AI communities.
  • Leverage Greenhouse ATS to expertly manage candidate pipelines and hiring workflows, ensuring a seamless and data-driven recruitment process.
  • Partner closely with technical leadership and hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements and the evolving landscape of generative AI, advising on talent market trends and competitive intelligence.
  • Build and nurture pipelines of passive candidates by tapping into global networks, AI conferences, research publications, and technical communities.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience, balancing professionalism, technical depth, and responsiveness throughout the process.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, research, and product teams to meet aggressive hiring targets and deadlines.
  • Analyze and report on recruiting metrics, providing actionable insights about talent trends, sourcing effectiveness, and market dynamics in the AI sector.
  • Continuously iterate and innovate on recruitment strategies to keep pace with rapid advancements in AI and evolving organizational needs.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of recruiting experience within high-growth software and AI/ML companies, with a deep understanding of technical roles and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, attract, and close top-tier AI talent—including researchers, scientists, engineers, and specialized technical hires.
  • Expert sourcing skills using a variety of advanced channels: LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, arXiv, Google Scholar, and direct outreach within AI/ML communities.
  • Hands-on expertise with Greenhouse ATS applicant tracking systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a track record of managing complex, high-priority requisitions simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage highly technical candidates at a peer level.
  • Availability to work PST hours and commit to a full 40-hour workweek.
  • Agility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving generative AI landscape.

Our salary bands are structured based on a combination of geographic tiers and internal leveling. Compensation is determined by multiple factors assessed during the interview process, with the final offer reflecting these considerations.

$120,000$155,000 USD
