Are you passionate about building scalable systems that empower game teams across multiple platforms? Join us as a Senior Systems Programmer, where you'll architect robust frameworks in Unreal Engine to support a diverse portfolio of titles — from single-player campaigns to multiplayer experiences. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping technical direction, mentoring rising talent, and owning high-performance systems that drive innovation and studio-wide success.

We’re looking for a seasoned engineer with deep C++ expertise, a data-oriented mindset, and intimate knowledge of Unreal Engine’s inner workings. Whether you’re optimizing for cross-platform deployment, enhancing runtime performance, or bringing bold passion projects to life, you’ll thrive in a collaborative environment that values creative experimentation and engineering excellence.

Who are we looking for

We’re seeking a Senior Systems Programmer with deep technical expertise and a passion for scalable systems within Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful architect who thrives on solving complex problems and enabling teams to build across genres and platforms. You should have:

  • Advanced proficiency in C++
You write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code, and can navigate large codebases with confidence. You understand how to leverage modern C++ features in game development environments.
  • Expertise in Data-Oriented Design
You know how to structure systems around efficient data flow and cache utilization, creating frameworks that scale with performance-critical applications.
  • Strong understanding of Unreal Engine’s source code
Whether customizing subsystems or extending engine capabilities, you have a working familiarity with the internal mechanics of Unreal Engine and know how to bend it to your will.
  • Framework development experience for both single and multiplayer games
You’ve built systems that serve varied gameplay needs—from solo campaigns to networked multiplayer—and understand the unique considerations each paradigm requires.
Responsibilities

As a Systems Programmer, you will:

  • Design and implement scalable frameworks to support the development and maintenance of multiple titles with varying requirements across diverse platforms.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to ensure system robustness and flexibility that aligns with long-term studio goals.

As a Senior member of the team, you will also:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in systems programming and provide guidance on best practices and technical direction.
  • Take full ownership of the systems you architect — ensuring they’re stable, performant, and well-documented.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of professional experience working with Unreal Engine
  • 2 or more shipped AAA titles
Bonus Points
  • Experience with cross-platform development, including console certification requirements or optimization for mobile hardware.
  • Background in profiling and performance optimization, with hands-on experience using tools like Unreal Insights.
  • Familiarity with networking systems, including replication strategies, session management, and low-level socket programming.
  • Active pursuit of passion projects, whether personal game prototypes, experimental systems, or collaborative tools — we strongly encourage creative experimentation and recognize its role in shaping standout engineers.
