This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.

 Work/ Project Scope:

Communications Strategy:

  • Create and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that promotes culture-building efforts within the Marketplace team.
  • Facilitate cross-pollination of information and best practices across different teams and departments to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Roadmapping and Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain roadmaps that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Drive strategic initiatives by translating business needs into actionable plans and overseeing execution.

Operational Cadences:

  • Establish and operationalize meeting and reporting cadences that align with leadership priorities, ensuring timely updates and accountability.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to assess progress and drive continuous improvement.

Process Improvement:

  • Analyze existing operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement streamlined solutions that enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to contribute ideas and participate in process refinement.

Must Haves (Required Skills):

  • Proven experience in creating and executing communication strategies that foster culture-building and effective cross-functional information sharing.
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership to develop strategic roadmaps that align with business goals, and to translate objectives into clear, actionable plans.
  • Skilled in setting up and maintaining meeting and reporting cadences that support leadership priorities, while ensuring accountability and transparency.
  • Strong capability in tracking KPIs and performance metrics to assess progress, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated success in analyzing and refining operational processes to improve team productivity, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work seamlessly across teams and departments to promote alignment, knowledge sharing, and cohesive execution.
