The Contract Manager will oversee contracts for the VHA HEFP SEP, managing contractor performance and coordinating with technical representatives, while identifying risks and ensuring compliance with goals.
The VHA HEFP Special Engineering Program (SEP) manages nationally prioritized, high-impact capital initiatives, including the Electronic Health Record Modernization, Facility Recapitalization, and Targeted Infrastructure programs. SEP establishes national priorities to ensure consistent, enterprise-wide alignment and execution. Gritter Francona is looking for a Contract Manager to support this potential project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the Contractor’s primary contract manager. Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
- Manages on-boarding and coordinating orientation of contract staff.
- Works with COR, technical representative, and CO for any contract issues.
- Responsible for overall contract performance, leading senior management briefings, and should be a recognized expert in program management.
- Coordinates identification of risk and variance to HEFP Program Engineers for assessment, delegation and/or resolution.
- Tracks and manages project execution; identifies tasks that are supposed to be done and milestones met, following up with HEFP Program Engineers if there are issues that can’t be resolved.
- Oversees contract performance. Identifies opportunities for program improvement and assigns team members to support initiatives.
Requirements
- Must meet at least ONE of the following:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant medical, engineering or science discipline and minimum 20 years of experience
- Master of Science degree and 15 years of program management experience
- 5 years VA program management experience and 15 years' experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP)
