Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Job Description
NBCUniversal's Vendor Operations Contract Administrator maintains the portfolio and data base of IT vendor hardware, software and professional services support contracts within the NBCU IT departments and provide comprehensive visibility and reporting on IT vendor spend, contracts and services. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in use of the ServiceNow contract management tool as well as Procurement or Sourcing practices that include contract management. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills to be able to navigate successfully among diverse internal groups like IT Operations, IT Engineering, Hosting, Telecom, Finance and Sourcing to capture contractual information that is common to all.
Responsibilities
- Track and manage IT Support Contracts including software license subscriptions, hardware/software maintenance & support, database, telecom and professional service contracts. This work entails creating new records and updating/maintaining key contract data in NBCU's ServiceNow Contracts Module.
- Maintain a current and complete picture of IT's support contracts footprint and annual operational expenditures.
- Workclosely with IT Stakeholders to ensure that the scope, timelines and costs are accurately captured for each contract. Help facilitate the renewal process through advance notice and coordination with the appropriate stakeholders who will contribute to the validation of the scope of the renewal.
- Create and present reports (on a recurring basis and in resonse to adhoc requests) to senior IT Management on vendor contract data such as spend, products and services to help drive strategic decisions.
- Build standardized reports from the ServiceNow Contract Module as well as assist in developing dashboards on other applications such as PowerBI.
- Through periodic demos and walk-throughs, educate IT stakeholders on the ServiceNow Contract Module to optimize self-service.
- In coordination with the Vendor Operations Procurement Specialists, work with the IT vendors to ensure their support quotes are complete and accurate in accordance with data captured in the Contract Module.
- Facilitate resolution of problems/issues with Vendors and escalating within the Vendor Operations Team or to NBCU and Vendors' senior management as necessary.
- Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives for the ServiceNow Contract Module and associated processes. This includes initiatives, among other things, to re-configure the ServiceNow data fields or automate data population from other data/asset management or P2P processes.
- Develop processes and procedures for quality control of contract data validity and consistency in the contract management tool.
- Assist Finance and IT Stakeholders in IT budget analysis that includes annual budget development and allocation exercises as well as ad hoc budget alignment for IT Stakeholders' purchases and renewals.
- Support the Vendor Operations Software Asset Management team in NBCU software portfolio analysts and in defense of audits, as well as manage contractual changes and resolve disputes or conflict resolution with vendors.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or Supply Chain.
- 5+ years' experience in IT related sourcing, procurement or vendor and contract management/governance.
- Expertise in a contract management tool
Desired Characteristics
- 5+ years' experience in the ServiceNow Contract Module with emphasis on its rollout and design of fit for the organization's purpose.
- 5+ years of direct IT stakeholder engagement experience with a successful track record of building beneficial client relationships through focused customer service.
- 5+ yrs experience in IT Hardware, Software, and Services contracts with emphasis on being able to identify specific vendor obligations, scope, costs, and SLAs.
- An effective and clear communicator (verbally and in writing) to all levels of management.
- Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups
- Excellent analytical/technical skills and the ability to tell a story with this data that can drive continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to execute across multiple locations and stakeholder groups. Ability to influence others effectively across a matrix driven organization
