Clinical Production Specialist

InterSystems is growing its Online Learning Team with several strategic positions as we develop new products, add capabilities, and otherwise aim to engage the InterSystems community with unprecedented training opportunities.
Clinical Production Specialists create and develop online technical training content for InterSystems’ customer-facing online training initiatives, with an eye towards InterSystems' TrakCare (EHR/EMR) product. These trainings are delivered in clinical settings to doctors, nurses, clinicians and other healthcare providers. You will work closely with the Course Developers to move content from storyboards and scripts to final online content. You will develop this online content using Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Open edX and other tools. Successful Clinical Production Specialists partner with the Instructional Designer and Course Developers located in our corporate headquarters in Cambridge, MA on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop online courses including demonstrations, videos, simulations and assessments for InterSystems’ customer-facing programs
- Use corporate standards of functionality, effectiveness, and appearance for training
- Ensure course objectives and instructional methods to achieve course goals
- Work with Learning Technology Specialist to automate and optimize production process
- Review course feedback on an ongoing basis to evaluate need for improvements as well as maintain and update existing materials
- Work with Online Quality Specialist to ensure proper course testing and provide rapid updates and fixes to content as needed
Qualifications
- Experience training clinicians and healthcare providers to use software
- Ability to author multimedia content for a learning content management system
- Background in adult learning, online course development, or instructional design
- Experience developing online content with tools such as SnagIt, Camtasia, Storyline, Lectora, and/or Adobe Captivate
- Experience with learning management systems such as Totara, Open edX, Absorb, Cornerstone, Saba, Moodle or similar technology
- Knowledge of basic video production systems
- Experience with SCORM and HTML
- Mixture of strong technical and communication/interpersonal skills
- Desire to learn new technologies
- Ability to work independently and within a team to create instructional material
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree in education, training or development, or related field
- Healthcare or healthcare information system experience advantageous
- Master’s/Secondary degree in E-learning, adult education, applied technology or instructional design a plus
- 2-5 years of experience developing technically based online training in a corporate setting
