Purpose and Scope: 

The On-Call Assistant Stylist will organize and prepare a wide range of merchandise, assisting in production of event boutiques for luxury women"s and men"s fashion apparel, accessories, and home goods for our website. This individual will be in daily communication with a diverse group of teams to assess daily production needs and organize workload for maximum efficiency in the studio. This position will be used as needed and on a on call basis. 

Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Organize fashion apparel workload to meet daily deadlines and to maximize efficiency, gathering product in advance of shoot day, prepping ahead of schedule when possible, and reviewing any time constraints with Studio Manager. 
  • Shepherd and care for samples throughout the prepping process maintaining vendor packaging, sku tags, and apparel tags, noting any discrepancies in style count, sizing, or damage. 
  • Communicates product needs and concerns with Event Producers, Shipping Dept, Stylists and Studio Manager. 
  • Assist stylists in maintaining cleanliness, organization and inventory of in-house wardrobe and prop closets. 
  • Report to Studio Manager to receive schedule updates and review next day boutique readiness/assistant needs. 
  • Ready to assist and style merchandise on set under guidance of a Stylist for fashion, accessories/tabletop, home and bedding, and food categories as necessary Work with stylist team to gain on set experience and styling techniques for fashion, tabletop, and home sets 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • 1+ years assistant styling or fashion experience for a production studio or agency 
  • Basic understanding of digital photography, production studio pace and efficiency 
  • Background in art, design, fashion, merchandising or photography 
  • Strong communication skills and excellent ability to work with a wide variety of people 
  • Flexibility and patience with the ability to accommodate last minute additions to schedules and changes in direction 
  • Ability to work with a team to accomplish deadlines and production efficiency Strong time management skills 
  • Some photo shoot in studio/on set experience preferred 
  • General interest in fashion and the desire to be a part of a creative team
