We are seeking a highly strategic and creative Content Strategist & Finance Writer to deliver investment-focused and digital/web content that bolsters our brand, drives engagement, and educates our audience across digital and traditional platforms. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our Brand Content Team, which is responsible for shaping our brand voice and delivering growth-focused content projects.
This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, investment products, and economic trends. The ideal candidate can translate complex financial concepts into compelling narratives and is a data-driven marketer with demonstrated capabilities in crafting web/digital campaigns. This is a fully remote position.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $125,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Primary Job Functions
Content Strategy
Pitch, develop, and deliver investment-focused and digital/web content projects, aligned with company goals and brand objectives
Collaborate with portfolio managers and compliance team to ensure content is accurate, supportive of key business goals, and meets regulatory standards
Track performance and continuously refine content based on analytics (e.g., web and digital analytics tools, performance metrics) and stakeholder/audience feedback
Support the maintenance of content libraries and templates for consistency and reuse
Monitor industry trends and competitor content to identify opportunities across collateral types
Proactively recommend program improvements to deliver higher engagement and conversion rates
Content Creation
Reinforce our brand identity and value proposition through all created materials
Write and edit a wide range of investment-focused content, including:
Market commentaries and economic outlooks
Whitepapers and research briefs
Periodic performance summaries
Brochures and fact sheets
Write and edit short-form web and digital content (e.g., landing pages, FAQs, email campaigns, newsletters, digital ads)
Leverage AI-powered tools to perform core responsibilities, including:
Staying informed on emerging AI technologies and recommending tools/processes that improve productivity and content quality
Maintaining human oversight to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistent brand messaging
Collaborate with the design team to create showstopping infographics, newsletter templates, videos, and other multimedia content
Support internal communications and advisor training materials as needed
Proofread and edit content with a fine eye to detail
Education/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, communications, journalism, or marketing
Series 7 license required; additional financial certifications a plus
8+ years of experience in content strategy and/or copywriting
Exemplary writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
Deep experience with B2B and/or B2C financial services content
Ability to translate complex/technical concepts into clear, engaging content
Strong understanding of financial terminology, products (e.g., investments, loans, insurance), and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and priorities to deliver compelling content on deadline
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Word, as well as Wrike, Drupal, and Canva
WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified at the individual contributor level is $87,400,300.00 to $152,500.00. However, the base salary range bolded above ($95,000.00 to $120,000.00) is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
