About the role

Everway is seeking an Academic Content Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key player in developing high-quality, engaging, and standards-aligned educational content. You will work within our content management system (CMS), applying your skills to author and refine various content types while ensuring they meet our strict quality and accessibility guidelines.


Main Responsibilities 
  • Academic Content Creation: Generate and refine a variety of educational materials for neurodiverse users, including articles, informational and literary texts, lesson plans, and teacher resources. Ensure all content is clear, accurate, and accessible, adhering to Everway's authoring guidelines.
  • CMS Management: Accurately input text, images, and other media into our CMS using predefined templates and components. Apply standard formatting options (e.g., bold, italics, lists, headings) to maintain consistency and clarity.
  • Workflow Adherence: Follow established content workflows, ensuring content is submitted for review and approval at the appropriate stages. Manage multiple project assignments independently to meet deadlines.
  • AI Integration: Use AI tools, such as generative language models, to create initial drafts and outlines for basic content. Review and edit AI-generated content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to our content standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Review texts and lesson content under the guidance of a senior team member, applying evidence-based instructional approaches. Author and review content for alignment with general and extended education standards, staying current with any changes.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other content specialists to ensure content quality and consistency. Participate in team discussions and content reviews to improve our product offerings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and apply feedback from peers and managers to improve your content authoring skills and overall performance. Remain flexible and adaptable to changes in project scope or feedback.
Essential Criteria
  • Content Authoring: Demonstrated ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging educational content.
  • Instructional Knowledge: Knowledge of special education, differentiation, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and evidence-based practices for instruction.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with a content management system (CMS) and a strong understanding of content formatting best practices.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: A flexible and adaptable mindset, open to changes in project scope and feedback.
  • AI Literacy: Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to effectively integrate them into content creation workflows.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure content adheres to all guidelines and standards.
