Job Description:
Content development, curation, and management are vital to Vertex's marketing success. We're looking for a dynamic Senior Content Specialist to craft engaging content and ensure consistent messaging across solutions and regions. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external experts to create compelling stories that drive brand awareness and lead conversion. This role requires a blend of storytelling, project management, and analytical thinking. You'll translate complex ideas into audience-centric content for various channels, requiring a deep understanding of B2B content marketing and multi-channel programs. You will work closely with Partner and Customer Marketing teams to create, distribute, and optimize content that drives engagement and supports our global go-to-market strategies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Content Strategy and Execution:
- Implement content marketing strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with Partner and Customer Marketing teams to craft compelling content aligned with Vertex’s brand, core messaging, value propositions, and the ideal customer profile.
- Provide operational support for content strategy and planning, managing content calendars, content briefs, and workflows.
- Recommend and implement best practices for content reuse, repackaging, and optimization.
- Understand and leverage industry trends, brand and content guidelines, and solution value propositions to ensure content relevance and quality.
- Project Management and Collaboration:
- Independently manage complex projects, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality marketing materials.
- Ideate and research content topics and working with the relevant resources to execute.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams and process improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships and networks with colleagues across departments and levels.
- Foster a positive team culture by collaborating, supporting colleagues, and taking on extra tasks.
- Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze research and performance data, identify trends, and use analytical tools to inform program decisions and tactical improvements.
- Demonstrate results-focused mindset through problem-solving and proactive planning.
- Communication and Development:
- Create compelling and persuasive marketing materials and communications.
- Seek feedback, coaching, and continuously develop marketing skills.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation; develop recommendations and initiate action.
- Build strong relationships/network with colleagues across different departments and levels of the organization.
- Evangelize and educate relevant teams on audience-centric content strategy best practices, brand and content guidelines, and content governance.
- Actively participate in cross-functional team meetings by contributing valuable insights and perspectives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver quality work under deadline pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
- An open, learning mindset driven by curiosity, empathy and a drive for self-development.
- Creative and innovative with a strong understanding of storytelling.
- Strong sense of initiative and follow-through.
- Proficiency desired with Microsoft Office solutions, social media platforms, Pardot and Salesforce, 6sense or other relevant marketing technologies
- Basic analytical skills.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- 2+ years of experience in content marketing, marketing communications and/or agency experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Related market/industry experience is desirable
