About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Content Marketer to join our growing Marketing team and help shape the future of content at Monte Carlo. In this role, you’ll own the strategy and execution of high-impact content initiatives—from long-form thought leadership and ebooks to snackable social videos and email campaigns—that drive awareness, create demand, and demonstrate category leadership in the fast-evolving Data + AI Observability space.
This role is a production-first role, ideal for a creative and technically curious content marketer with deep experience in B2B SaaS—preferably in the data, AI, or engineering spaces—and a finger on the pulse of AI-powered search, SEO, content marketing trends, and buyer behavior.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Create compelling content across channels—including blogs, guides, reports, landing pages, emails, videos, social media, and more—that educates, inspires, and converts both technical and business audiences.
Collaborate to develop and own a thought leadership strategy that positions Monte Carlo as the clear leader in the Data + AI Observability category, working closely with our Head of Content, executives, customers, and subject matter experts
Write and produce content for social media, including posts, threads, carousels, and short-form video scripts, collaborating closely with design and brand to deliver visually engaging content.
Partner with demand generation, product marketing, and events teams to develop content campaigns that align with business goals and deliver measurable results.
Optimize content for distribution and discoverability, leveraging SEO best practices and keyword strategy in an AI-first world.
Support email content development, including newsletters, lifecycle emails, and nurture campaigns, in partnership with the marketing ops and demand gen teams.
Use performance data to iterate and improve paid and organic content, ensuring we’re learning and optimizing every step of the way.
Become a thought leader on AI-driven SEO and search behavior (e.g., SGE, Perplexity, ChatGPT), adjusting content strategies accordingly.
We’re excited about you because you have:
5+ years of content marketing experience, preferably in a technical B2B environment (data, AI, engineering, etc).
A strong writer and editor with a portfolio of high-performing content across multiple formats that speaks to technical and business decision-makers.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
Ability to master new technical concepts quickly and take personal ownership over your product and industry education.
Experienced in long-form (e.g., whitepapers, research reports) and short-form content (e.g., emails, ads, event abstracts, decks, social copy)
Familiar with content creation for platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, and emerging channels, with a strong understanding of platform-specific best practices.
Experience collaborating with designers to create graphics, visuals, and social-first assets that boost engagement and reinforce brand identity. Plus if you’re expert in AI-powered tools like Jasper.ai, Claude Code, and Otter.ai to automate and augment your workflows.
Deeply knowledgeable about SEO and how AI is transforming search, with a passion for experimenting with new content formats and tools.
Skilled in email marketing with experience creating content for campaigns, newsletters, and product updates.
Comfortable working with executives, customers, and subject matter experts to translate complex ideas into engaging narratives.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use content performance metrics to inform strategy and execution.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with marketing tools like HubSpot, WordPress, Figma, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Canva, and generative AI platforms.
Experience producing gated content and integrating content into multi-channel campaigns.
Background in journalism, technical writing, video editing, or developer marketing.
Plan and create video content (e.g., interviews, explainers, social clips) in partnership with the broader marketing team and company leaders.
Be part of defining and leading the Data + AI Observability category
