Stratus, deriving from the Latin term meaning 'layer', offers an advanced set of MEP specific solutions that seamlessly layer across a contractor's entire workflow from design to fabrication to installation. Our team of seasoned industry experts, skilled technology leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs understands that fabrication does not occur in isolation, and increasingly, it may not happen within your own fabrication shop. Through close relationships with our customers—who include some of the most innovative and largest MEP contractors—we have developed a suite of Stratus tools to digitize, automate, and optimize piping, plumbing, sheet metal, and electrical contracting. Stratus provides the software layer an MEP Contractor needs to optimize profits with true "Data Driven Contracting."

The Content Marketing Manager owns how our brand shows up and sounds across social, video, and written content. You will help shape our rebrand positioning, produce customer video stories, and give Product Marketing and sales the one-pagers and presentation decks they need to tell a consistent story.

This is a remote role with some travel.

What you'll do

  • Social media: Manage our social channels, including planning, writing, scheduling, and engaging with the community, and report on performance.
  • Rebrand positioning: Help define and roll out new brand positioning, and make sure it carries through website, social, video, and sales content.
  • Brand tone and voice: Work with Product Marketing to document and maintain our tone of voice, and keep content consistent with it.
  • Video production: Travel on-site for customer video shoots; write scripts, interview customers on camera, and direct and manage the videographer from planning through final edit.
  • One-pagers and collateral: Create one-pagers and other sales and marketing materials with Product Marketing.
  • Speaking sessions: Help build and polish presentation decks for conferences and speaking sessions.
  • Content planning: Maintain a content calendar and look for ways to reuse each piece across channels.

What we're looking for

  • 4–6 years in content marketing, brand, or social media, ideally in B2B.
  • Excellent writer and editor with a strong sense of brand voice.
  • Experience planning and running video shoots, including scripting, interviewing, and managing freelance or agency videographers.
  • Skilled at presentation storytelling and clear, well-designed decks.
  • Comfortable collaborating with Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, design, and sales, and managing several projects at once.
  • Willing to travel for shoots; social scheduling and analytics tools experience is a plus.

Success in the first year looks like

  • A consistent social presence with a steady posting cadence and growing engagement.
  • Documented brand voice and positioning applied across core content.
  • A library of customer videos produced on schedule and on budget.
  • A current set of one-pagers and speaking decks that sales and executives use.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
