Come build the future with us.

About the role:

We’re hiring a Content Marketing Manager to scale GC AI’s content strategy. You’ll lead the editorial direction that shapes how GC AI shows up in the legal, AI and tech ecosystem, from thought leadership to demand gen to storytelling. This role is equal parts strategist, editor-in-chief, and operator. We’re looking for a sharp, versatile storyteller who can translate complex legal and AI topics into content people actually want to read. We move fast, value clarity over polish, and prioritize content that informs, not advertises.

You’ll help set the content agenda, manage execution across multiple channels, and ensure every asset moves the needle on brand credibility, pipeline generation, and customer engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Sales, Events, and Product to align content with revenue goals and company narrative.

What you'll do and impact you'll make:
  • Set Content Strategy: Define and own GC AI’s content strategy, aligning it with GTM priorities and industry trends.

  • Content Mix: Deliver a balanced mix of long-form content (white papers, reports), short-form thought leadership (LinkedIn posts, blogs), and campaign assets (email, landing pages, ads).

  • Taste & Craft: Uphold high editorial standards for clarity, precision, and restraint. Ensure GC AI’s content feels sophisticated, useful, personal and unmistakably “ours.”

  • Editorial Leadership: Build and maintain a quarterly editorial calendar that supports awareness, demand gen, and customer marketing.

  • Distribution & Amplification: Oversee cross-channel distribution (email, social, website, partner syndication) and ensure every piece is tracked and optimized for reach and impact.

  • Sponsored Content & Partnerships: Source, negotiate, brief, and manage execution of sponsored content with industry publications, associations, and media partners.

  • Thought Leadership Engine: Elevate GC AI’s voice in the in-house legal community by producing high-value articles, white papers, op-eds, and bylined content.

  • Podcast Oversight: Direct podcast strategy and execution, including guest selection, discussion framing, and integration into the broader content ecosystem.

  • Contributor Management: Commission and manage external contributors, subject-matter experts, and guest authors while ensuring consistency in tone, brand voice, and quality.

  • Web & SEO Ownership: Own website content, regular audits, and SEO strategy to drive discoverability and conversion.

  • PR Agency Management: Manage relationships with PR partners and agencies, ensuring alignment on media opportunities, messaging, and placements.

  • Performance & Insights: Work with demand gen to track KPIs (traffic, engagement, pipeline contribution), run A/B tests, and surface insights that inform future strategy.

  • Process & Operations: Manage editorial workflow, review cycles, and content library. Scale processes to support rapid growth.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor content team members and external partners, growing capacity as the business scales.

Required Experience:
  • 8+ years in content marketing for a B2B SaaS company, ideally in legal, compliance, or regulated tech.

  • Proven track record of developing and scaling content strategies that drive brand authority and measurable pipeline impact.

  • Exceptional editorial instincts and writing/editing skills.

  • Experience commissioning and managing contributors, thought leaders, or SMEs.

  • Familiarity with SEO and content analytics.

  • Ability to juggle multiple initiatives, stakeholders, and deadlines.

  • Proven success partnering with sales, product, events, and PR.

Nice to have:
  • Experience working with an early-stage series A start-up company.

  • Bonus: Executive ghostwriting, AI/ML content, or publishing in legal/regulated industries.

What we offer:
Growth & Impact
  • Shape the future of a rapidly growing startup

  • Direct collaboration with founding team

  • Real influence on company strategy and direction

  • A voice that matters - your ideas will be heard and implemented

Environment & Benefits

  • Competitive salary, equity and healthcare

  • We’re a hybrid company — many roles are remote-friendly, while some teams require meeting in person a couple of days a week in the Bay Area office.

  • High-energy, joyful team environment

Career Development

  • Mentorship and learning opportunities

  • Clear path for growth in an expanding company

  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and practices

  • Freedom to innovate and own crucial systems

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
