Who We Are

Club Athletic is a private, membership-based fitness concept redefining what a gym can be. We’re built around structured, squad-based training, exceptional coaching, and a genuinely social community that keeps people consistent and connected. Our members don’t just come to work out. They build routines, friendships, and a sense of belonging. Training is the anchor, but the experience extends far beyond the floor through run club, social events, partnerships, and community moments across the city. We’re a growing, high-standards team that cares deeply about craft, culture, and momentum. We move quickly, think intentionally, and value people who take ownership, bring ideas to the table, and want to help build something meaningful — not just maintain the status quo.

About the Role

This is an execution-first, camera-in-hand role. You are the creative engine behind Club Athletic’s organic and paid social presence—equal parts content creator, community casting director, and channel manager. Working directly with the Marketing Director, you bring the brand strategy to life across Instagram and TikTok and supply the creative assets that fuel every part of the business, from partnership activations to NSO launches to weekly member content.

You are not a strategist. You are the person who makes the strategy come to life.

What You Own

Content Production

  • Plan and execute weekly iPhone and mid-fi video shoots at Club Athletic studios, plus capture organic moments during workouts, runs, and social events with a minimum 15 hours of shooting per month across 4+ days.
  • Pitch Instagram and TikTok concepts for approval.
  • Write scripts, shot lists, and creative briefs for all social deliverables.
  • Edit footage, including color grading and audio mixing.
  • Execute paid content concepts, including light UGC editing for paid use.

Channel Execution

  • Own day-to-day Instagram and TikTok execution, posting, scheduling, community engagement, and trend research, in alignment with the marketing calendar, and report weekly engagement metrics (reach, saves, shares, follower growth).

Talent & Community Casting

  • Source and manage UGC creators from the Club Athletic community, coordinate studio access and shoot scheduling around class schedules, and write briefs and track deliverables through to handoff for paid use.

Basic Graphic Design & Brand Assets

  • Maintain an organized, up-to-date content library.
  • Execute light graphic design using Canva templates for social, campaign, and in-studio collateral (e.g., signage and flyers).
  • Coordinate execution and handoff of creative deliverables, including with external vendors (photographers, videographers, designers) when production scale requires it.

Partnership Activation

  • Execute creative deliverables for partnership campaigns—co-branded content, graphic assets, and social posts, working within provided briefs (e.g., Lululemon, Create, Seven24).

What You Do Not Own

  • Brand, creative, and social media strategy.
  • Hi-fi / high-production video (handled by external agency).
  • Paid media management and campaign optimization.
  • Conversion metrics: CAC, CPL, and calls booked.

RequirementsWho You Are

You are a fitness enthusiast excited to jump into a squad and embrace the Club Athletic experience as both an employee and a member. You train with us. You understand what it feels like to be in the room, in the squad, in the grind. That lived experience is not a nice-to-have—it is the lens through which everything you create is filtered.

  • Proficient with iPhone video, DSLR or mid-fi camera, mic, and lighting setup—this is non-negotiable.
  • Skilled in video editing, color grading, and audio (CapCut, Premiere, or equivalent).
  • Comfortable in Canva for graphic design and template work.
  • Strong instinct for social-first content—you think in hooks, not campaigns.
  • Highly organized: able to manage a shoot calendar, a content library, and a UGC tracker simultaneously.
  • Self-directed: you pitch ideas, you don’t wait to be given them.
  • Deep fluency in Instagram and TikTok as platforms—formats, trends, and algorithms.
  • Bonus: experience with fitness, sports, or community-driven brands.

Benefits
  • Competitive medical, dental and vision insurance
  • 401k
  • Complimentary Club Athletic membership
  • Salary: $70-75,000

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
