Position Overview and Purpose
The Content Manager will develop and execute Baseline Energy Services' external content strategy across marketing and communications channels, creating customer-facing content that supports lead generation, sales enablement, business development, brand awareness, and market growth.
This role will partner with Business Development, Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to translate complex energy and power generation solutions into clear, impactful content that attracts prospects, educates customers, supports the sales process, and advances Baseline's growth objectives. This position requires B2B industrial services marketing experience, exceptional storytelling skills, and the ability to connect content strategy to measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an external content strategy aligned with Baseline’s business objectives, lead generation goals, and brand positioning.
- Create, edit, and manage customer-facing content across social media, email marketing, website, sales collateral, presentations, case studies, white papers, and customer communications.
- Partner with Business Development, Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to develop content that supports customer acquisition, pipeline development, and revenue growth.
- Translate complex power generation and energy solutions into clear, compelling content for customers, prospects, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Develop customer success stories, project highlights, case studies, and other materials that demonstrate Baseline’s capabilities, reliability, and value proposition.
- Manage the content calendar to support lead generation campaigns, industry events, customer communications, product and service launches, and company growth initiatives.
- Maintain and update website content to ensure information is accurate, current, brand-aligned, SEO-optimized, and effective in generating business inquiries.
- Leverage AI-assisted content creation tools to support ideation, drafting, editing, repurposing, and optimization while ensuring final content is accurate and brand-aligned.
- Monitor content performance, customer engagement, campaign effectiveness, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, photographers, designers, and other creative partners as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of content marketing, corporate communications, or related experience in B2B industrial solutions, energy services, manufacturing, engineering, or similar technical industries.
- Proven experience supporting lead generation, business development, and sales enablement initiatives through strategic content creation and campaign execution.
- Experience creating content for demand generation campaigns, customer acquisition, pipeline support, or revenue-focused marketing initiatives preferred.
- Experience using AI-assisted content creation tools to support content development, editing, ideation, research, workflow efficiency, and content optimization while maintaining brand voice, accuracy, and quality standards.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices, content analytics, and digital marketing principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and content creation tools. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Salesforce, Constant Contact, WordPress, or similar platforms preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in power generation, energy, oil and gas, industrial equipment, or related industries preferred.
